Review of Silent Running (1972) by Seanee T — 26 Jul 2010
Hippies in space...
Bruce Dern attempts to save the last orbital "greenhouse" serving as an ark for Earth's plant and animal life. And it's about as exciting as it sounds.
The ONLY good thing about this film are the three robot drones, you feel far more sympathy for them than for any of the human characters!
What really finishes this film off though is the whiny "music" provided by Joan Baez - it makes me want to cut my own ears off. :-(.
One for the tree huggers.
