Review of Silent Hill (2006) by Wes S — 21 Sep 2011
Not real big on video games, but I have heard that this is a pretty close interpretation of the game. Rose Da Silva is at wits end in trying to help her adopted daughter resolve issues from her past that keep haunting her dreams.
When she finds out where Alessa (Jodelle Ferland) is from she takes an unscheduled trip to Silent Hill without telling her husband. Sort of in the Vein of The Cell with it's nightmarish imagery, though this is more visceral and hellish in style.
The only problem I had with it was at the ending with the narration in bringing the story together, I found that part a bit cheesy. But altogether it was a pretty creepy and dark horror film.
