Review of Silence (2017) by Grant F — 18 Jan 2017
The acting here is all over the place which, at times, makes Scorsese's passion play feel like delirious camp. The persecution of Christians isn't exactly a timely subject but faith is a universal theme that Scorsese rummages w aplomb and ultimately Silence is a moving film.
