This is a grueling epic, but like many epics it doesn't stand up to scrutiny of detail. The accents are horrible. The choice to cast an American, Englishman and Irishman as Spaniards is a joke. I am unimpressed by the volume of MONEY thrown at this project when it doesn't tell a great story to match its visual scope.
