This is a very, very slow burn movie. It is almost the opposite of a boom boom summer blockbuster. There is very little action. But that doesn't mean it is dull. It just has this smoldering, simmering quality heading toward the end.
Benecio del Toro is really good (his scene in the desert near the end is fantastic) and Josh Brolin does a very solid job as well.
The plot is a little complicated at times (I lost track of exactly why things were happening), but overall it is engaging.
