Review of Short Term 12 (2013) by Christopher G — 31 Aug 2013

This one came out of nowhere for me, but I really enjoyed it. It's both funnier and more poignant than I expected. I've never really been a Brie Larson fan, but she's great as Grace, who's in charge of a short-term home for homeless and at-risk teens.

Larson adds a hefty dose of humanity into the role, although every other actor is fantastic as well. Some of the plot points are a little too convenient and everything seems to work out nicely, but it's still a great look at some of the unsung heroes of the world.
