Review of Short Circuit 2 (1988) by Eduardo Z — 20 Mar 2012

Not a sequel that suffers from sequelitis. This movie tried to be good without really taking much from the first movie aside from Johnny 5 and Ben. It tells its own story. I thought there was more heart in this film than the previous one.

Also thought the dialog was better. It has its cheesy moments but it's the 80s. Sometimes the movies are like that. The attack against Johnny 5 was also a little hard to watch but I thought the scene where he's repaired with the help from a friend was touching.

I'm giving this movie a 7.5 but that doesn't translate well to 5 stars (3.75 stars?) so I'm rounding up.
