Review of Shinjuku Incident (2009) by Dan G — 10 Aug 2009
A realistic view of illegal immigrants everywhere. Jackie Chan rarely works on this kind of serious materials but this time, he nails it! No fancy martial art tricks, no funny fighting scenes, just plain and simple stabbing and shooting, well, mostly stabbing and less shooting.
I know Daniel Wu's trying his best but why would anybody cast him to play a farmer from northeastern China? Even if he can play his part, why doesn't anybody give him a good voice dub? He certainly does NOT sound like anybody from that region.
Other than this little thing, everything seems just fantastic.
