A well-done biopic about someone I hadn't heard of until now. Hicks does a good job of showing the different parts of David's life, and the difference between oppressive love and supportive love.
The acting is great - Rush deserved his Oscar, and Mueller-Stahl deserved one too. And of course, the music is wonderful.
