Review of Shin Godzilla (2016) by Paul A — 30 Apr 2017
It Was a pain to watch this movie with English Subtitles (Not because the subtitles were bad they were actually translated well) but because there was Japanese Text that popped up all throughout the movie, with the names of Ministers, Offices, Locations and they even had to clarify what types of weaponry were being used (I mean seriously, even a documentary doesn't go into so much detail) . It was hard to read subtitles clearly when other subtitles translating the Japanese text that kept popping up were there.
Godzilla evolves in this movie, and before evolution it definitely looks extremely fake. Later in the movie it has a more realistic look to it.
The movie has some very good Action Scenes but they are far outweighed by boring dialogue scenes. It would of been better without so much Politics.
I give it a 3/5 for the action scenes, and attention to detail (Even though I like to know who people are and facts about the current scene, I felt like this movie went a little bit too extreme with it) also the Godzilla in its latter form was a pretty cool version. (Compared to the earlier version in the movie before it evolves.
