This movie had a lot of promise,but really missed the mark - becoming disjointed and predictable. Gyllenhaal pulls off a good performance but its hard to really empathise as we only touch the surface of Sherry and what led her down the path to addiction.
There are some genuinally moving moments in this film - but not really enough to rescue it from its 'tv movie' feel.
