Downey as Holmes has to be one of the worst choices ever, no offence to the actor but at least find a British actor. It's a horrible bastardization of the books. If you don't take the Holmes connection seriously then it's a movie made for pure entertainment and you will enjoy.
Really took me a while as the books are among my favorites.
