Review of She Done Him Wrong (1933) by Michael T — 02 Aug 2014
It lacks in terms of storytelling and length, but She Done Him Wrong is a nice little film that seems way too sexual and provocative for its time, but in a good way rather than being a gimmick thanks largely to Mae West who gives a powerhouse performance and also due to some memorable quotes and sequences, very interesting characters and sexy, playful dialogue.
It may not be a classic, but as entertainment goes, it is one of the most involving and purely fun pictures of the thirties.
