Review of She Done Him Wrong (1933) by Steve G — 20 Apr 2013
My first Mae West movie. She's quite a character. Unique. I doubt I've met anyone who talked like that. Sexual double entendres abound. They annoy me, & her awareness of them is even worse.
It's not 'bad' when you're trying so hard. However, the story is not altogether poor. It's actually quite intriguing. The ending isn't the most believable, but forgivable. The earliest Cary Grant film I've seen, as well.
Some good music & performances. I think this film is the basis of every Aerosmith lyric.
