Review of Shame (1968) by Andrew B — 02 Jul 2008
There's a lot of great anti-war films, but I've not seen as one as effective or excellent as Shame. Its multi-faceted brutality exposes the horror of two simultaneous wars: the martial and the marital.
This is, I think, the bleakest film from the master of bleak.
