Bolstered by wonderful chemistry between Fiennes and Paltrow, Shakespeare in Love is a moving and sweet romance story. Stirring moments from the famous Romeo and Juliet, along with some witty performances from Ben Affleck and Tom Wilkinson, help to bolster the film over its faltering narrative.
The film's second act is a soaring and beautiful counterbalance to the first act, which for all its efforts, falters.
