Review of Shadows and Fog (1991) by Eric O — 12 Mar 2012
It's beautifully filmed, and it's interesting in that it is an obvious send up of a lot of different genres. But unfortunately this early 1990's Woody Allen movie doesn't quite mesh into anything particularly coherent, and it probably echos the confusion of Allen's personal life at the time.
It's a shame because the cast and the cinematography are wonderous, but this movie does not do the talents of its various components justice.
