The concept is unique: What if the star of Nosferatu was an actual vampire working for F.W. Murnau? Part biopic, part period film and part horror movie, Shadow of the Vampire is a curious film that ultimately explores the cost of pursuing artistic vision.
That, and Willem Dafoe turning in an arrestingly creepy performance as Max Shreck.
