Don't know how I missed this one all these years-- Hitchcock AND one of my Mom's fave movie hotties, Joseph Cotten? Anyway, very nicely plotted-- a few necessary holes in the logic now and then, but Cotten's portrayal of a dynamic psychopath foreshadows lots of great roles (e.
G., Matt Damon's Talented Mr. Ripley), and I think in some ways he helps pave the way for the concept of the anti-hero. Good, dark stuff.
