Review of Shadow of a Doubt (1943) by Late R — 14 Jul 2018
Chilling and tense, 'Shadow of a Doubt' is a simple story that is brilliantly told by Hitchcock who makes wonderful use of the surroundings in a quaint, little part of California. The way the doubt creeps up one of the characters and the world closes in on the family is superbly done and keeps you riveted.
Despite the audience being clued in on what's going on too early, it's still a great thriller that is undoubtedly up there with Hitch's better films.
