Review of Seven Samurai (1954) by Bill T — 29 Jun 2010
A movie with plenty of power and hidden meaning and lots of action, Seven Samurai (which I JUST SAW FOR THE FIRST TIME) does take a little patience, some people could say it's a little slow, and a little hysterical, but Kurosawa packs a mean punch in this one, and it's hard not to think about this a lot, and probably deserves a few viewings to truly savour it (I wouldnt mind doing that some time).
All actors are excellent in this, each having their own personality quirks, all samurai remarkably different then the other. Easy to see why this has influenced a billion other movies.
