Tons of work, wonderful acting, and beautiful photography and design put this movie on par with masterpieces around the globe. Thousands of films in the genre owe their success to this films creativity in setting the precedent.
However, the characters are flat and some scenes unnecessary to the main plot feel unbearably boring.
