Review of Seven Samurai (1954) by Eric M — 17 May 2013
Part of what makes this movie such a landmark is that, as Roger Ebert pointed out, it was one of the first movies where a "team" is hired to carry out a specific mission. It literally spurred a new genre of movies.
On top of that, it is a beautifully done movie and one of the best epics ever made.
