Review of Seven Samurai (1954) by Jacob C — 14 Jul 2013
When I first found this movie on IMDB I didn't really think much of it. I decided to go for it and buy the criterion blu-ray edition of this film. Now I understand that some movies can be appreciated regardless of the age or language the film is in.
This film was influential in creating much of the plot elements we see in today's modern movies. The Seven Samurai is led by an excellent cast including famous Japanese actor Toshiro Mifune and directed by Akira Kurosawa.
This film is 3 hours and 24 minutes of storyline and action that went by much faster than anybody would expect. This film possibly would be one of my greatest discoveries in my exploits to see every film that matters.
