Review of Seven Samurai (1954) by Viktor B — 20 Jul 2013
This is not Kurosawas true master work in my opinion, but it's still one of his best. Seven Samurai is a true cinematic epic with great depth and it's easy to see why this is such a classic film.
Well scripted with engrossing characters and a plot that while simple on the surface actually grows more complex as the thoughtful nature of the film and the movie's philosophical aspects set in. You need to see this one to understand the history of modern cinema.
