I must admit, I liked Rashamon more. Though it runs over 3 hours, Seven Samurai is not boring, thanks mostly to it's wonderful characters. It's got a good story and is often emotional. It's stunt scenes are realistic, but as a film seen as the best amongst the samurai films, Kurasowa's action sequences are disappointing as the often look extremely lazy. The actors have all done justice to their parts except the actor who play Katushiro. The ending is good and rather stylish.
