Review of Seven Psychopaths (2012) by Michael F — 03 Jan 2014
There are rare times when an already stellar cast elevates an already fantastic script. Seven Psychopaths mixes a variety of actors and gives them a witty, satirical script and lets them go free. The film follows a screenwriter who's at a mental roadblock, only to be drawn into trouble with the mob with his two friends.
I'm not a Colin Farrell fan, but he was pretty hilarious in this. As was Christopher Walken. However, the standouts are definitely Woody Harrelson and Sam Rockwell, who play their ridiculously stupid characters will all the force of a hurricane.
The film is never dull, either privoding comedy, drama, or action, which are all balanced well. Overall, this is one of the best comedies out there, and one to definitely see.
