Ugh! "Miracle Mile" has an interesting premise (The main character picks up a payphone and hears that the nukes are flying. Was it true? What do you do?). I'd love to see this rewritten and filmed, but I won't hold my breath.
As made, it reminds me of an old grindhouse film without the T&A or graphic violence, just the bad plot, hokey writing, and terrible pacing. Or maybe it's more like an 80s porn movie without the sex (baaw ba ba baaw baaw).
Anthony Edwards borrows Don Johnson's Miami Vice wardrobe and wanders the streets like an idiot. Worth watching only if you want to see every bad TV actor of the 80s in a movie.
