Review of Seven Psychopaths (2012) by Patrick L — 24 Apr 2013
Movie Review: Seven Psychopaths.
"a load of fun".
"Seven Psychopaths".
Date Viewed: January 8 2013.
Rating: Four Stars out of Five.
Written and directed by Martin McDonagh (In Bruges).
Martin McDonagh's "Seven Psychopaths" is a load of fun from start to finish. It's one of the best times I've had at the movies since I've first start watching the films of Quentin Tarantino.
Colin Farrell plays a struggling movie screenwriter who's next movie is "Seven Psychopaths", meanwhile Marty's (Farrell) friends an unemployed actor Billy Bickle (Sam Rockwell) and a part-time dog thief Hans (Christopher Walken) steal the Shih Tzu dog from a gangster named Charlie (Woody Harrelson).
"Seven Psychopaths" is a clever, funny and bloody effort from writer-director Martin McDonagh but that's what makes the movie so good.
The cast is excellent. And Christopher Walken hasn't been this fun in a movie in years.
Of course, it isn't as good as Tarantino's "Reservoir Dogs" but it was still a bloody good time.
