Review of Seven Pounds (2008) by Florence A — 17 Aug 2012
At first I thought it was a boring movie.I stopped watching at the first attempt because I felt sleepy but my husband encouraged me to watch because according to him it's a good movie and yes. It was worth watching and worth one's time.
I am not a Will Smith fan but this one moved me to tears especially towards the end of the story.
The unfolding of the story seems confusing at first especially if one isn't careful in listening to the dialogs but when the story is taken as a whole, the plot becomes clear.
The movie depicts how conscience works. Ben /Tim (Will Smith), in order to clear his conscience of killing seven people including his fiancee in a car accident which is caused by him when using his cellphone while driving, one by one, piece by piece donates his different organs to seven people.
He donated part of his liver to his brother, one kidney to a social worker, and so on.
Then he looked for the last two persons who will be receiving his heart and eyes...
How did he do it? That is for you to find out....Watch it if you want to know.
I guarantee, it's worth your time.
Tell me if you didn't cry, because it you didn't, then you have a heart of stone.
