Review of The Roaring Twenties (1939) by Private U — 11 Oct 2008
I love Cagney, I love Bogart (even if he was still playing heavies at this point), but I can't stand Priscilla Lane. That being said, the ending of this movie is absolutely brilliant and the story actually taps into that post-WWI dilemma of veterans being more or less cast off into society (something the government actively sought to circumvent after WWII).
