Review of Seven Chances (1925) by Scott R — 12 Aug 2015
Simple, silly, plot, but very funny, especially in its second half. Everything that happens when the brides arrive is classic, those crowd scenes are fantastic and interesting to see as you won't see anything like it nowadays.
The boulder scene is also great, even if you can tell how fake and lightweight the rocks are, the scene still works. I think slapstick comedy has by far been the best form that has help up to me in silent films, Chaplin, Lloyd, and now Keaton have aged really well, unlike some of the more melodramatic "serious" silent films.
