This is a timeless classic. I think the genius was Martin Bregman for choosing Pacino. I can't think of any other actor who could do more justice to that role. The evolution of his beard in parallel with the evolution of his sheep dog is mesmerising too (it should be seen for those two things happening simultaneously alone).
