Review of Sense and Sensibility (1995) by Sonia G — 21 Feb 2009
Take a family on the verge or ruin, with a bunch of unmarried daughters of all ages, with no dowry. Throw some rich handsome gentleman with some wicked sister/aunt/mother. Throw some (soon to be poor) bad gentlemen that looks nice at first but have dark secrets in their past (which will be revealed half way through the movie).
Daughters fall in love, daughters get heartbroken, daughters can't find husband, daughters finally find husband, one will get the man of her dream. That is Jane Austen for ya and I want to yawn, or puke.
