Review of Sense and Sensibility (1995) by Ben D — 13 Dec 2014
When I told my parents I wanted to watch this movie, all they would tell me was that it was horrible and was basically the worst movie they'd ever seen. I am extremely pleased to say that they were incorrect.
Sense and Sensibility is a beautiful period piece that is filled to the brim with incredible performances. You don't watch this movie for the story, which is admittedly kind of soap opera ish, in my opinion anyway.
You watch this movie to be immersed in another time and to hear really well written dialogue. If that sounds in anyway appealing to you, then you'll love it, though I do recognize the fact that it's not everyone's cup of tea and I really do understand if you don't like it.
Anyway, I really liked it and I say go watch it.
