Review of Sense and Sensibility (1995) by Edwin P — 21 Jul 2010
The cast, direction, writing, and production values are first class start to finish. It's what made these novels great, and the adaptation preserves the best parts of Austen's novels, and really brings forward the values of the time.
It's a nice balance of humor, romance, and occasionally serious situations. It deserved its awards. Even if you don't care for this kind of romance fare, this is the one to watch.
