Review of Senna (2010) by Antony G — 12 Mar 2013
A film about possibly the greatest Formula One driver ever to grace the paddock. It uses footage from interviews, news & races to bring you a vivid & powerful image of a man who wore his heart on his sleeve coupled with a man who knew no bounds in his determination to cross the finishing line in first.
There are some powerful emotional scenes which bring back horrible memories of not just Senna's untimely death but of other F1 drivers who lost their life's & careers most notably Ronald Ratzenburger, who died the day before Senna in qualifying.
You don't need to be an F1 fan to enjoy this but F1 fans will love it bringing back find memories when the car & racing was mostly about the skill of the driver & not the, sometimes, sterile racing we get nowadays.
