Review of Scream 3 (2000) by David B — 08 Jun 2012
A good if yet confusing twist but there was nothing new to bring to the series. While Scream 3 is only an above-average film in its own right, as the conclusion to the trilogy it works more effectively than anyone had a right to expect.
Still satisfying comedic shlock horror, but the premise is starting to wear a bit thin as the trilogy draws to a close...well, untill the fourth one comes out. The cast are back again and a whole brand new ones to be bumped off.
All the cast, to cut a long story short, a great and the best thing about the movie along with the odd cool death scene. But the film gets a little confusing and is really mudded and only solong before you don't care for the characters.
The scenes are quick but the film slows down alot, the script is very weak and tries somuch to fill in what looks like they missed out to do in the first two. The final 3rd is a good little twist and again it's fun to guess who the killer is but the film is wearing film and like most horror sequels,it gets repetative and very boring.
Lucky some moments but not much, are worth watching. Watch it if you've seen the others.
