Review of Scouts Honor: Inside a Marching Brotherhood (2014) by Dennie H — 25 Mar 2016
I am a long time drum corps fan and also served as a member, instructor and director in the drum corps activity. I also had the privilege of being a member of the Madison Scouts from 1997-1998. Scouts Honor (Honour for Canadians) really shows the struggles, triumphs and relationships that happen each and every year in every drum corps through out the world. In our life long quest as members to try and explain drum corps to outsiders, Scouts Hono(u)r really helps articulate and show what its really like to march a corps for the summer. The main struggle is showing outsiders the DCI DVD's is the concern over the sound and stressing that they have to watch a show live to really get the effect of the corps on the field. Scouts Hono(u)r went through great lengths to bring the sounds from the field through your speakers in true life like 5.1 Surround Sound. The audio and visual in this movie will allow any fan or new comer to relive the sights and sounds on the football field from inside your home. Just as if you were there in person. A fantastic documentary for all ages and interests.
May You Never Walk Alone.
