Review of If You're Not in the Obit, Eat Breakfast (2017) by Jenna I — 05 Jan 2018
A cute documentary full of Carl Reiner and friends telling cute anecdotes and jokes and giving advice on vitality. There's really nothing not to like here, it's just kinda feel-good fluff but at least the advice is solid.
I couldn't help but think of my grandmother Dahlov Ipcar who died this year at 99 - she was an artist and was actively painting every day until she passed suddenly and (despite her age) unexpectedly. So I can absolutely buy the concept of "have a reason to get up every morning" as advice on how to live long. I think most people do box themselves in with the idea of how they should feel and act, but as long as you have your health ya just gotta keep keeping on.
