Review of Scotland, PA (2001) by Adam B — 14 Dec 2010
"Unusual" adaptations of Shakespeare often work better for me that straightforward adaptations (at least straightforward filmed adaptations). This is maybe my favorite version, perhaps because making it a black comedy helps accommodate the frankly ridiculous existing plot line.
Scotland, PA. is sometimes trippy, sometimes hilarious, and usually inventive.
