Review of Scotland, PA (2001) by Joe K — 26 Jul 2008
This is a modern classic, best described by it's premise: Macbeth set in a rural greasy spoon in the '70s. That's right. You heard me.
You will recognize the small-town idiosyncracies and petty jealousies. You'll probably feel like you know these guys. And you'll be embarrassed by the decidedly small-town ambitions and the tragic lengths to which desperate people will go to fulfill them.
Great cast, including Christopher Walken and Maura Tierney. Bill Shakespeare would be so proud.
