Review of Scarlet Street (1945) by Vijay L — 20 Dec 2010
Tense, thrilling film in which Robinson's character is slowly destroyed by a woman out to fleece him. Robinson and Bennet are great leads. The story is perfect until the end where the 'evil cannot go unpunished' clause puts a perfunctory unsatisfactory ending on top of an already good finale.
