Review of Scarlet Street (1945) by Bruno L — 11 Nov 2012
About 9 parts noir, 1 part Tell Tale Heart, Scarlet Street is all about a decent, mousy guy (Edward G. Robinson) whose life goes down the drain when he meets a love-sick dame (Joan Bennett) who plays him for a fool.
Gotta watch the quiet ones. Not Lang's best film, but it's pretty hard to go too far wrong with the film noir genre, and I enjoyed this flick.
