Review of Saw III (2006) by Santiago S — 25 Feb 2012
PLOT-Jigsaw kidnaps a doctor to keep him alive while he watches his new apprentice put an unlucky citizen through a brutal test.
MY REVIEW-This is the last SAW Script Leigh Whannel wrote before moving on to other things and I feel it's a decent end to the Saw franchise, this is where I think the Saw films should have ended, but you know Hollywood they're all about making more money,as far as the movie goes its great how Jigsaw takes more centre stage here as he is dying and needs an operation and the formula works a little differently here, meanwhile a Victim who lost his son in a car accident is being tested by jigsaw and being confronted to either save or let the people responsible for his son's death die and he is a very likeable character, the traps and games are more inventive in this one then in the first 2 movies and are way more disturbing and disgusting.................but in a good way,Shawnee Smith as Amanda gives out a great performance as does Tobin Bell as Jigsaw, this 3rd installement is a lot more lively and compelling compared to the 2nd movie and is always very gripping, the twist at the end is great too,I think this is my 2nd favorie Saw Movie after the first one.
