A Greek Tragedy like film by Tom Kalin, who did a superb job in this film based on the life of socialite Barbara Baekeland and her fall from grace. The scenery, the glamour of the era; the AMAZING talent of Julianne Moore, the great Stephen Dillane and newcomer Eddie Redmayne.
.. it's just a pleasure to watch a film with so many decadent aspects combined with the glory and glamour once taken for granted. This is a film for adults, and I am not talking only about age here, but about vision and maturity.
It's a superb art work like I haven't seen in quite a while. Simply perfect. Brilliant.
