Review of Satyricon (1969) by Olivier B — 28 May 2007
Somehow manages to escape time- we never know if he's commenting on the past, present or future. I would call this quality "timeless" but it don't feel it's adequate. Nevertheless, the acting style was refreshing- so few movies today actually engage the entire body of the actor.
Also, Fellini's use of camera movement is always impressive (especially compared to the extensive cutting of most films today). Perfect commentary on what the end of my senior year of college was like.
