In Saturday Night Fever, I got captivated within the first few seconds at the mere sight of a handsome John Travolta strutting down the street. Saturday Night Fever is a classic dance film.

John Travolta leads with an excellent performance as passionate Tony Manero and never lets up, and supported by a small but good performance by Barry Miller as little Bobby C. who seems to have just tagged along for the ride. They create a great atmosphere and the film is given a true heart, only topped by it's awesome dance sequences and the memorable music to go along with it.

The only complaint would be that it has moments of being a little too cliche and that some of the drama (such as the crime drama) doesen't seem appropriate for a film about dancing, but nevertheless the result is 2 hours of fun: Saturday Night Fever.
