Perhaps my favourite actor of all time. I have a real soft spot for this film, reminds me of my Dad - not for the fact he used to play as hard as Finney's character (far from it) but the era this film is set.
It's beautifully captured and harkens that change in British cinema from kitchen table to kitchen sink.
