The early 60s British Social Realist films are one major deficiency in my film education. So, I've decided to check out some of these films. If "Saturday Night and Sunday Morning" is any indication, I'm going to like these movies.
It's strikingly fresh and edgy even by today's standards, not to mention by the standards of the early 60s.
